I started embellishing socks 3 years ago for my daughter. She loved them instantly; she calls them her “Pretties”. My socks became such a hit with my friends and neighbors that it was time to expand. I called my little company “Sooo Soxy”.
As a mother with two children I understand the safety issues. I want you to know that I have yet to have any of my socks come apart. In fact, from my experience, the sock will wear out before the embellishments come off!
On most of my socks, I use beads that are small enough not to pose a choking threat. On socks that have larger embellishments, I have not only sewn them in place, but have glued them down with washable glue.
My socks are very sturdy and machine washable/dryable*.
I love what I do. I make my socks like an artist paints a picture. These are like no others I have ever seen.
I hope that you enjoy the socks and the reactions from people who see them on your child. I know that your child will make quite a statement in Sooo Soxy Socks!
